Liquidated Damages

Good post on Liquidated damages over at Turning Cathy into a Lawyer.

Verizon charges her such damages on her cell phone bill when she's late on her payment. Although I've forgotten my first-year contracts law enough so that I'm not sure about the conclusion she draws, I admire her efforts.

I, too, look for ways to apply my legal education to every-day scenarios. At least for a while, until I go back to sleeep.
